COOL EVENTS COMING UP IN FEB WITH THE LESLIEVILLE FLEA

This month the Leslieville Flea will be hosting 2 events! We are back in the Fermenting Cellar of the Distillery District on Sunday, February 19th from 10am - 4pm.  All your fave vendors plus a fun new addition... the very first Last Chance Auction from 3-4pm! Participating vendors will auction off select items at the end of market day. Items for bid will include vintage finds, upcycled goods and handcrafted items. They don't want to have to take them back home.....so you can....for an amazing deal! If that weren't enough we will also be participating in Honest Ed's Farewell Bash. Presented by the Centre for Social Innovation, the event pays homage to one of the most iconic buildings in our city, Honest Ed’s. VENDOR PROFILE – MICHELLE ROSETTA – BEE23

From Backwoods to the 6ix and on to Hollywood,  Michelle Rosetta aka Queen Bee of BEE23 Natural Beauty is a regular vendor at the Leslieville Flea. Michelle grew up in Thunder Bay, ON and was heavily influenced by the progressive and creative nature of the communities that populate Northwestern Ontario, which has benefited her greatly in her move to Toronto, the place she now calls home. Michelle tells us, "Thunder Bay has a strong Finnish population. The people I grew up with were eclectic and hardworking; from outlaws and foresters to geologists and professors who had checked out of urban life." Questioning norms and power structures was built into the fabric of the community; a value which was passed on to Michelle. Michelle left Thunder Bay at 18 and spent time travelling the world before returning to Canada and eventually back...
