VENDOR PROFILE- ROYAL ROOSEVELT

Kirk from Royal Roosevelt is made of many sides. Kirk is a TTC street car driver, and 21 year Capoeira Professor, but in his off hours is the founder and President of Royal Roosevelt Designs and spends his time making fashion forward unique / custom cowls. The business venture began out of necessity. In his role as a TTC street car operator, Kirk found his neck was always cold.  A coat alone didn't solve his problem. Seeking a solution, Kirk searched online but could not find what he was looking for....a cowl which would stay put, was warm, in a fabric which suited his tastes and could be next to his skin for long periods of time. Taking on a challenge and turning it in to an opportunity is second nature to Kirk.  Therefore, in 2015 Kirk signed up for a sewing course to learn the basics of sewing and design to make his own custom...

Vendor Profile- Micheline from Farm Fresh Vintage

Micheline from Farm Fresh Vintage has always enjoyed working with her hands and as a graphic artist has an intrinsic need to create. Seeking a quieter life, Micheline decided to make the move from North Toronto to Brockville in 2014 where she would have more space to do the things she loves most; gardening, growing and art. Once there,  Micheline began work as a volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, which turned out to be a great source of furniture in need of upcycling. With the extra space afforded by a larger home, Micheline realized that she could also indulge in what all vintage lovers love......collecting. The ReStore is where Micheline found the slate roof tiles from Queens Park in Toronto dating back to the buildings original construction in 1893.
